The Association for Art History is a broad union of art historians from universities, museums, monument conservation and related freelancing professions. The new public image was set to recognize this diversity and – just like the new name of the association – focus on the discipline as the connecting element.

Creating a flexible design system that allows for flexible applications of the new corporate identity across different media was one of the main requirements in the process. The new logo is used in social networks as well as in printed materials and works in a wide range of formats, from squared avatars to lanyards for ID badges. In addition, the different applications needed by the association require both monochrome and coloured versions. For the stationery, all formal requirements are met and the templates are easy to use. The membership cards form an important part of the organisation’s identity, representing the association internally and externally. The card lasts for the duration of the membership, as the validity is shown by a yearly sticker badge.
